Across from the caf there is a two story white building, sleek and corporate looking. The bottom floor's outer walls are glass to greet the public. This is where I am avoiding the knitting party. There is a computer lab at the corner of the white building. It is glass like a green house to get computer nerds doses of vitamin D.
Then I got a flash, a premenition or just wonky dream vision, of the knitters having gone cannibalistic and munching on intestines, getting blood on their ample knit ware. Time to head out? Find safety? I seemed to remember from my trip to the computer that there were offices in the first hallway, which was glass on one side and real wall on the other. In particular there was one with a man and woman sharing a quaint office, but I was sure it had a door.
So, I left the pseudo safety of the computer lab and left the building. For some reason, I had decided to take the long way back. Circling around outside, in possible danger, rather than going through the hallway safely within the building. But I was already outside and stuck in that terribly slow dream run, when I saw zombie #1. I recognized him. It was Big Fluffy Red Hair Guy from campus. He didn't look like a zombie, he was blood free but had a slow determined walk.
I went to the main door, which were automatic sliding doors. What a terrible place to hide from zombies. Oh well, no where else to run. Vane randomly joined the party (my group running away). I swore I would keep her safe. We went to the office of Man and woman #1. I asked the balding man if we could barricade ourselves in their office, and in exchange I would keep them safe. It seemed okay, until we realized there was no door.
Well, there was a door, off its hinges, hidden behind a cabinet. I tried to jam this into the wall, only to find the door was too short. A good five inches or so were still exposed. Plenty of room for a hungry zombie. Okay, plan B, weapons. What could I use in this office? I searched and came up literally empty handed. Feeling pretty down for having a crappy plan, I checked on top of the cabinet again. This time there was randomly a chisel 6 to 8 inches long. Not much, but it was something. I left the office to defend from the hallway. The lone zombie intruder was waiting for me. I didn't wait for him to come to me. Chisel to the head, he was gone. My dream must treat dead zombies like the fallen within video games. I decided I should find a better place to keep Vane and the office mates safe. So down the hallway I went, moving further into the building looking for stairs.
What I found was a string to pull like I've seen for attics (I've never had one). I pulled it down and there was a ramp to the second floor. Some people came out. Threatening me. I had to convince them I was human and looking for a safe place for my friend. I said I was going to go back for them, but they said it wasn't safe and I couldn't go. I protested but then there were two zombies coming down the hallway toward us. Suddenly 50 to a hundred people surround me from the second floor. Their packed tightly and are trying to get to the zombies. I am trying to get back to Vane. I am crying. What horrors are becoming her, I can't imagine. And neither can my dream, so I wake up.
